Candy Crush Saga Rip-Off?

Have you ever had times where you have only 1 move left and only need to clear 1 more square of jelly, but all of the candies surrounding it are ones you don't need? Well, you're not the only one. Only in a handful of levels was I able to escape with only 1 move left.
I feel like the level number doesn't really mean anything. You could be on level 20 and it's extremely hard. The worst part is usually the jelly should clear after you find a match and say if two of the three are covered in jelly, only one of them clears. It's unfair and has caused me to loose multiple times.
The bonuses don't help either. Once, I used a candy bomb and wrapped candy and it ended up exploding all of the remaining candies covered in jelly, but one with only one move left. Like I said, it was surrounded by candy you couldn't match it with.

Again, this is just stuff that happened to me- But could Candy Crush Saga be up to something?
Maybe expecting us consumers to buy bonuses to keep this company going?
or will it end up like Zynga?

Why The World Wasn't Built For Lefties

Speaking from me, a left-hand myself. Righties have it much easier. Lefties are only 10% of the population. Righties dominate the rest. Everyone forgets about us, therefore everyday products are an everyday struggle for us and it's about time someone realizes!

Notebooks- the spiral kind makes it hard to write on the right-hand side of the page.

Pens and Pencils- Righties move away from their handwriting. Lefties move towards it. That makes it for no time for the ink to dry on the page and we end up smudging it. I have to clean the side of the hand at least 5-6 times a day.

Scissors- You rarely find left-handed scissors. When you do, they're usually dull and rusted out. I have to cut right-handed.

Computer-Mouses- When you move a mouse to the left, it doesn't feel right. I use it right-handed, too.

Binders- You end up having to take out the paper you are trying to write on. There is no way to sneak your hand in between the rings.

Desks- Out of a room of 300 chairs, there is only one for lefties. Hello? You end up having to show up 10 minutes early just to get it.

But there is always hope.. Lefties make better athletes because of how they can quickly respond, 26% of lefties go richer than righties, lefties can see underwater easier and there's an extra holiday you can celebrate dedicated to lefties on August 13th. Get your friends and family to buy you gifts for your hard work of tolerating all of the above. I was born on August 9th, so I can celebrate with leftover cake and maybe my family can buy me some extra gifts...

Regular vs Sugar-Free Gum

So, have you even walked into a convenient store looking to buy gum and just buy a regular pack? Well think again. If you are refusing to try sugar-free gum because it's only for diabetics and doesn't have good taste.
I am currently actually chewing Orbit Kids Strawberry-Banana Gum. For the most part, it tastes exactly the same except not as squishy. It's also good for your teeth. Even if you're not a kid, I would recommend this gum. It comes in Strawberry-Banana and Bubble Gum.

Here are some benefits to sugar-free gum-
-It's good for your teeth
-Less spent on removing those cavities
-Decreases calories

*Watch chewing gum with force or else it can lead to temporomandibular joint disorder that effects the jaw, face, neck and back.

So next time you go and grab a pack of gum, think again! Happy chewing!

Rip-Offs and Techniques Stores Use

Have you ever spread mayonnaise, peanut butter or squeezed out condiments on a container? Have you ever noticed that sometimes at end of the bottle there is a huge gap? I have seen the same thing on those pepper jars that you turn to put on food as well. This is one of the many techniques stores use to make it seem like you get a "bang-for-your-buck"
Another thing stores use is smell. It may seem surprising. Have you ever walked into Old Navy and noticed that rubbery-sort of- fruity smell? Well, I don't know how they generate this smell but they use that and the bright lights to make you hurry up and buy things because your body cannot tolerate the smell anymore. In some cases, it's the opposite. When you go into Abercrombie and Fitch, the lights are at such a dark tint you cannot even see some of the dresses or clothes you plan on buying. Not to mention how they spray the whole store with their perfume and cologne and who could forget the blaring music?
In some cases, companies use the 5 cents of this product will be donated to Cancer Research. Do we really know it will be? And say the product was 5 bucks, only 5 cents of that will be given. The company gets the remainder, $4.95. Maybe it's time for companies to kick it up a knotch. Companies also use the "healthy" promotion. They use the American Heart Association, with the small print that reads 4 grams of fiber or 4 grams less sugar or something like that.

Next time you're out and about be sure to compare different brands for the best buy. And also make sure if you buy a product that says it will donate to Cancer, be sure to see how much it donates and deduct that from the price of the product.

Enjoy A Night Out At Regal Cinemas

Want to go out as a family of 4  to see the latest movie?

Tickets
2 Adults= $22.00 (Avg. $11.00)
2 kids= $16.00 (Avg. $8.00)
Total (so far)- $38.00
Food
4 small drinks= $20.00
1 Large Popcorn= $8.00
Total= $28.00

Grand Total- $66.00

I can't believe it cost this much to enjoy a night out at a movie theater. You have no choice with the food either. Either you eat before, or buy the food. You can't smuggle any food, but people like my family do usually. I recommend to just enjoy a movie on Netflix.

Kelogg's (Entry Continued) With Wrigley

There's cereals of course. Some I've never even heard of.
Apple Jacks, Fruit Loops, Pops, Raisin Brand, Just Right, All-Bran, Rice Krispies- a whole lot more that you probably would already expect. Some I think are sold in other countries.

And then there's some you wouldn't know and some you would recognize-
Eggos, Pringles, Kashi, Pop-Tarts, Nutri-grain and Cheez-its

Now off with one of the best-selling candy/gum companies, Wrigley

There's the gum which I won't entirely list- Big Red, Hubba Bubba, Doublemint, Juicy Fruit, Orbit, 5 Gum and one of the most best-selling flavors, Juicy Fruit. Then there's candies- Lifesavers, Skittles, Starburst and Altoids. But there's one more and are you ready for it? Uncle Ben's, yes the company that makes rice.

Pepsico Owns The World

Doing a blog like this is not easy. Some of the research you do is on the computer and some you do on your own. But an image I found on the Huffington Post can allow me to do further entries on this topic without having to look all over the internet. So thanks, Huffington Post- all credit given to you. So I am going to break down this image bit by bit starting with Pepsico

Yum! A brand in other words that owns Taco Bell, Long John Silvers, KFC and Pizza Hut. Some of the fastest food us Americans rely on.
Quaker- Which also owns Life, Captain Crunch, Aunt Jemima, Crispy Minis and Harvest Crunch breakfast foods and cereals.
Sodas- Pepsi (called for), Mtn. Dew, Mirinda, Tropicana, 7 up, Mug, Aquafina, Gatorade and Lipton- Which is ironically also listed under Unilever. Again some only have relations with the company. Or did at one point.
Chips- Lays, Fritos, Rold Gold, Tositos, Ruffles, Miss Vickie's, Cheetos, Cracker Jack, Sun Chips, Spitz, and Doritoes. That is a large majority of all of the chips aisle.

To be Continued with General Mills and Kelogg's

Crayola Owned By A Notecard Company?

I always noticed when I was drawing and coloring that there was a Hallmark symbol on the back of the package. I never really have thought anything of it. But why would a card company want to invest in crayons? This is quite possibly the weirdest combination of companies I've seen so far. But wait. It doesn't stop there...

Hallmark Channel- I've seen it before. It has all of those cheesy shows about love, friendship, family and even if you're lucky religious movies and shows. I have seen that they show those holiday characters they create once a year at Christmas time, too.
Zoobilee Zoo- Well they did own it... Back in the late 80's. By the looks of it, that show would have creeped me out. How do kids back then find that cool without it being creepy in any sort of way?
Rainbow Brite- The innocent cartoon. I think I had pajamas of it, back in the day.
Halls- It's a department store. I guess it's like Macy's or JcPenny. They decided to get real creative and only cut off the "mark" other than that the symbol compared to Hallmark looks exactly the same.

Disney Owns Practically Everything

Disney has been around for a long time. Nowadays the company seems to own everything. They own ABC family and a bunch of TV shows and channels. They use ABC family so when the actors who are on a TV show or the show got cancelled they'd just bring them to ABC family and start a new show.
The only reason why I am saying it's corrupt is mainly because of the channel and how Disney is this large corporation who owns other TV channels so they can show Disney shows and movies all of those channels. Who else remembers on Saturday mornings when after the news there would be a little segment where they showed Hannah Montana and The Emperor's New Groove? It's because apparently Disney and ABC are tight. Now I am not sure if Disney actually owns ABC family because if they don't then can they explain why they show Disney ads on there and in some cases ABC ads on Disney channel.

Then there's also the amusement park. I won't start with that. But plus air fare you have to buy over 300 dollar tickets. That doesn't include hotel prices, airfare and of course how you have to buy your own breakfast.

Feel Old Yet?

Source: Buzzfeed.com
Some things that will make you feel old-
Mr. Flanders wife on the Simpsons has been dead for 11 years
Butterfingers BB's haven't been sold in over 6 years
Betty Crocker's squeezits haven't been sold in over 11 years- neither has Pepsi Twist and Hi-C ecto-cooler
Pluto hasn't been a planet in over 5 years
Kids born in 1995 graduated this year.
Chevy Chase is 69 years old
Backstreet Boys have been around for 19 years
Friends hasn't aired in over 8 years

If none of the things we have today will be showing or on the market- I wonder what our future would be like.

Oh yeah and 10 years before 2013 is 2003 not the 90's.. That means Shrek first premiered 10 years ago. And do you remember Pepsi Blue? That hasn't been sold in over 11 years.

Oh and the Olsen twins are 3 years away from 30.

School's Cheap Alternatives

First, I would like to take a minute to honor a fallen cancer patient, Talia Castellano who passed away today at 11:22 am at the age of 13. I would like to offer my condolences to her friends, family and anyone who was close with her. It is shocking news to hear.

Schools always want to buy cheap things. Toilet paper, paper towels, paper and the grossest of all, food. But buying cheap in this case paper towels mean they lack quality meaning you have to use more to get the job done. So is buying everything so cheaply really worth it?

The food at schools is awful. Pizza- shriffled up cheese topped off with a burnt crust, Soup- A mystery of vegetables and meat, Italian Dunkers- Bread that if you notice what it looks like is tiny spects of newly forming mold, and who could forget milk- which sometimes you can taste that it's rotted.

So really whats the point of buying more for less if it requires you to use more of the product? School's think they're saving the day but really they need to think of a better alternative.

Capri-Sun... Mold?

Kraft foods have many cases where children are drinking their juice box and spit something black, green or really whatever color out of their mouth. The mold looks sluggish, and gross. Kraft foods claim it always happens if you leave the juice boxes out for awhile as so on the side of the box in molecular handwriting.
I have had a experience close to it. Every year we help out at this fire department and sometimes I get thirsty and want a drink of juice. The fire department has juice boxes out that have probably been stowed away from last time which ranges from 3-6 months ago. I noticed that the juice boxes had foul tastes no mold, though. It makes those Raspberry ones that I hate in the first place taste extremely unbearable.

I would suggest you take a high precaution when drinking/buying juice boxes. Check the expiration date and don't use them past the date thinking juice never goes bad. Well it does.

Both Walmart, Target Use Children?

It's true. Welcome to the present-day of the early 1900s. All of the children are being paid minimum wage to sit in some cases warm (in the summer) cold (in the winter) room in some cases barely with any light forcing kids to easily get injured on any of the pieces of equipment.
Only recently has this been uncovered. It didn't spread to the news or anything. Walmart and Target just "claimed" they didn't use children in that sort of way and there is no proof. Well for Walmart there is some form of proof. A photo that leaked:
In this case as it looks they're making ornaments?

And well Target? There is no proof. But there is some things you can inference. Target brand fruits, vegetables and all of the clothing. You know someone has to make it. If you ask me, Walmart and Target should give some of the clothes to their fellow sewers. After all a good majority of the money paid goes back to them.

Corrupt Marketing?

Everyone knows it... Those adds for ice cream, fast food or really anything make you hungry and by the time you buy it, it looks horrible- droopy, melting mess. Ironic? I think not. Here's some tricks:

Ice Cream? More like mash potatoes. This makes it so that when they are filming a commercial it doesn't melt and looks nice and even unlike when we scoop it. It's just a huge melted glop.

Burgers: I watched a video on this. They hired a food stylus! It's pretty much a make-up artist for food.
Here's how it goes:
1. They only cook the burger for 20 seconds on each side so it doesn't shrink.
2. They brand them (in other words put grill marks) with a skewer.
3. They find a "perfect bun" then glue on sesame seeds
4. They put a piece of cardboard under the burger so it doesn't soag it up.
5. Sometimes the cut a v out so it makes it look bigger.

I'll let you see the video yourself. I believe it's called "Making A Commercial Burger" so just look it up on youtube.

Small "Organic" Companies Owned By Another Company?

Clorox owns a lot of things other than bleach...
Burt's Bees
Glad Trash Bags
Hidden Valley Ranch, Kitchen Bouquet, and KC Masterpiece salad dressings

I am furious that what I thought Burt's Bees was a large-self chain company is owned by the same place that makes bleach. I wouldn't trust them owning salad dressing companies... maybe they'd put bleach in them by mistake...
 Little Facts
SC Johnson
Mrs Meyer's Clean Day

Kelogg's
Kashi
Coca-Cola
Odwalla
Pepsi
Naked
Colgate
Tom's of Maine

Unilever... Gone Too Far?

Unilever... Doesn't just own axe but the food you consume

Lipton Tea
Ben & Jerry's
Wall's (A.K.A the company that sells magnum, the expensive yet good ice cream)
Knorr (Makes soups)
Flora (oils, vitamins etc.)
Hellman's
Breyer's
Bertolli's

Yep. I always thought Ben & Jerry's was a small little Vermont company. Sick how it's owned by the same company that makes shampoos and death-smelling axe. Welcome to the Standard Oil Trust Monopoly of present day. Hopefully I can research more on these corrupt brands.
